"Another day! Another boring day at school!!" I thought as I was in the auto going to school. But you know, I was kinda glad that I had my Ipod mini with me, my friend... the "friend" who gave me company isolating the outside annoying noise with my favorite songs!
That very Ipod and I have some great memories, the first time I got it, I put in my favorite Michael Jackson songs, and kept listening to it everyday.
Then some days went by and its colour-coating of silver faded and it grew older and older month after month and there was soon a new "baby" in the house, my dad had brought in an Ipod Video just like a doctor would a new born baby, and my old friend lay in my cupboard, sometimes I think that tears would roll down his cheek.
Later it hit the stage of coma and stopped working, we were all worried and my dad as usual came to a conclusion that the Ipod had passed away to the heavens (do you really expect such an awesome friend to go to hell?!!).
Years later when I was finally 15 I took my old buddy out and when I just touched it, the Ipod that was once believed to have passed away, came back to life as if nothing had happened. I quickly put it to charge and was so happy that I started talking to it.
But now that happiness has been shattered by someone who stole my life-long companion. So there I was coming back from a boring, tiring day at school and when I got into the auto, put the bag on my lap and checked for the Ipod, I noticed the place in my bag where the Ipod would rest, was torn apart!!! I got tensed up at what my father might say and what my mother might say! I almost cried, when I felt that I had to tell my dad the truth, aware of the "consequences"!
I went home and told all about this, but my dad was understanding and didn't get mad at all. He asked me questions that led us to thinking about a certain guy in my class who is popular for his thefts . The guy kept pushing my bag this evening while we exited the school.
Now there is a chance, of which I am sure that the guy might have felt my Ipod in my bag since it was in the first zip and taken it out...
Now I'm sitting here, writing this and thinking of ways to get the Ipod back... my old friend, my buddy! Well I won't know till I confront the guy (not physically!) about this issue...
So, I have to wait for the weekend to come to an end before I can even begin to think that I would get my Ipod, my buddy, back again resting in my pocket with the Dell noise isolation headphones pouring my favorite songs into my ears.... *sigh* well we have to wait till monday won't we?.... but until then I'll keep my fingers crossed....
